Senior Pensions Calculation Analyst
As part of the Calculations & Benefits Team, this role delivers market‑leading systems calculation work and is central to ensuring calculations are delivered efficiently and effectively across the Pensions Administration business.
The role will report into the Calculations & Benefits Lead and will be part of the wider Client Onboarding & Change Team. The role will work closely with the Administration business as well as stakeholders from across Isio.
This role can be based in our Manchester, Reading, Bristol, Birmingham or Croydon city centre office with a hybrid workstyle.
What does the role entail?
Work within a team to manage and deliver calculation work
Deliver work in a consistent and efficient manner
Work with stakeholders to understand how processes and systems can be utilised most effectively
Liaise with the BAU admin team and prioritise work and resources
Lead in the delivery of work through coding and configuration of the admin platforms
Liaising with other team members to ensure that the delivery of solutions is consistent and effective
Collaborate with others to develop and implement solutions for work as required
Lead in the build of optimised solutions to reduce ongoing maintenance overheads and deliver efficient solutions to the administration team
Support the design and implementation of processes and procedures relating to Admin calculations
Work within the wider governance framework to ensure a consistent approach and documentation of all work delivery
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team to develop and enhance understanding
Participate in the training and development of the Calculations & Benefits Team as well as mentoring less experienced colleagues
Ensure processes support Isio’s ISO27001
What we’re looking for
Proven record of delivering calculation solutions across pensions admin systems
Excellent knowledge of DB / DC pension schemes and their calculation requirements
Management of key stakeholders at all levels in a typical corporate environment
Experience of relational databases
Demonstrable programming experience (e.g. SQL / .NET / VBA)
Experience of management responsibilities such as, work prioritisation, holding others to account, risk management
Experience of managing a small team
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and good interpersonal skills
Experience of modern pensions administration systems
Ability to interpret benefit specification and translate into calculations
Excellent Planning & Organisational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a creative approach to getting work delivered
Thorough knowledge of robust audit, testing and sign off processes
Willingness to identify and overcome barriers to delivery of work
