The role
An integral member of the communications team the primary purpose of the Communications Manager is to inspire and engage internal and external audiences through the delivery of clear, consistent, and compelling communications programmes.
Department
The role is part of a marketing communications and client development team at Isio - a progressive advisory firm, working with clients of all sizes to deliver expertise in pensions, benefits, wealth planning and investment management, working in close alignment with business divisional leaders.
The team is a fully integrated and valued component of our Isio strategy playing a key role in developing and delivering the firm’s future strategy.
Objective
Increase awareness of core company communications across all our people through a multi-channel approach to engagement. Support the leadership teams and the HR business function to ensure clear and effective engagement strategies are implemented. Implement and deliver external media programmes to drive the reputation of the business working with key stakeholders and a PR agency.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing all internal communications efforts leading on the strategy and delivery of key employee engagement programmes.
Ensure a clear and consistent flow of information between leadership and wider audiences through relevant communication channels.
Implement and manage communication process to ensure clear protocols in place enabling effective engagement metrics.
Link internal and communication messaging closely to ensure story alignment on the external market approach.
Proactively manage and ensure effective usage of key internal systems and projects i.e intranet, self-serve platforms.
Work across all regional offices to proactively drive creative internal engagement strategies to implement and deliver internal campaigns.
Support internal events and roadshows for the business.
Manage and support a PR agency working to drive clear and consistent external media and social media profile in the market.
Owns and runs earned media and social media positioning to ensure clear PR messages land across core channels in line with strategy
Proactively work with key stakeholders across the business to support the delivery of media programmes.
Works closely with the marketing team to support on media profile for key marketing campaigns and programmes.
Key Skills & Experience
Manager with proven internal and external communications experience within an agency, financial services or professional services regulated B2B / B2B2C environment.
Experience representing an organisation in a communications role, meeting and liaising with stakeholders and people.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Proven track record on creative strategies for communications.
Technical skill set in managing internal systems and communication platforms.
Experience working within a broader communications and marketing team.
