Editorial Lead

Location: London (or other regional offices)

Responsible to: Head of Communications and Editorial

Isio is a progressive advisory firm, working with clients of all sizes to deliver expertise in pensions, benefits, wealth planning and investment management.

As an integral member of the Marketing & Communications team, the Editorial Lead will work closely with sales, marketing and management to clearly articulate the firm’s pensions, benefits and investment strategies into editorial story telling – raising the awareness and reputation profile of the company and bringing to the forefront innovation.

There will be a particular focus on articulating the firm’s investment strategies for the Wealth and Investment division. You will be writing for institutional and wholesale (and potentially retail) audiences.

Role and Responsibilities

• Strategically lead thematic editorial for Isio ensuring hot topics and editorial messaging is part of an aligned and cohesive approach

• Work collectively across a marketing, communications and bid team to ensure issues led editorial programmes are activated to enhance client retention and engagement and provide new business opportunities

• Manage core media partnerships to bring to life editorial programmes

• Manage an editorial budget for both earned and owned media projects

• Create and edit written content for use across the pensions, benefits, wealth and investment business

• Tailor economic and thought leadership content to support client communications

• Develop thematic content for digital including social media, video scripting, web content and email channels

• Work closely with investments to ensure strategy knowledge is current

• Produce quarter end, newsletters and market impact reports

• Ensure consistency and quality of messaging for media and marketing content and investment messaging.

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience working in the investment management or financial journalism industry

• Outstanding copy writing skills, attention to detail and an ability to deliver and edit high-quality and targeted content

• Experiences writing for wholesale and institutional audiences

• A passion for writing and the investment markets

• Skilled at producing effective communications for multiple mediums

• Strong stakeholder management skills

• Significant experience of working in communications functions

• Experience working with senior stakeholders to shape editorial programmes
