Communications Manager
Isio is actively seeking an experienced Communications Manager to join our Marketing team.
The role:
As part of the Marketing and Communications team this role plays a critical role in helping support brand awareness and drive employee engagement across our network of regional offices.
We are looking for someone with strong stakeholder management skills and proven experience in delivering communications for a growing business which needs to deliver messaging both nationally and locally.
You will be an experienced communications professional, skilled at creating and driving effective communications. You will have a special talent for identifying compelling content opportunities and working with stakeholders to shape narratives and package content into engaging and easily digestible forms. You will be called upon frequently to advise others within the business on effective content production and internal distribution.
Whilst this role will be particularly focused on internal engagement, you will also be required to support on the external communications, working with our retained PR agency to review content, responding to the fast-changing new agenda and advising on opportunities for Isio to maximise opportunities to build its brand both internally and externally.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with our Head of Communications to support the development and delivery of our communications strategy
- Driving the creative content calendar for a variety of internal communications channels including newsletters, emails and intranet, delivering key messages which align to strategic priorities and our purpose and values
- Employ a clear and consistent tone of voice in developing compelling content and exploring new ideas to communicate with the Isio network
- Build strong and collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders including Isio’s People and Culture team, office heads and senior teams across the business
- Measure, refine and make recommendation to maximise the impact of our internal communications activities
Skills and Experience Required:
- 5+ years of B2B communications experience, preferably within professional or financial services
- A good understanding of internal communications channels and experience with SharePoint and being the lead for intranet updates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by a passion for writing
- Good stakeholder engagement, with the ability to think creatively and effectively communicate and influence a variety of stakeholders across multiple locations
- Prompt delivery – work quickly and thoroughly against very tight deadlines
- Multi-tasking – prioritise and deliver a varied and high-volume workload and pragmatism. Comfortable with change priorities
- Collaboration – work across a range of teams to inspire confidence and trust in people and the process
- Able to influence – collaborate with a range of stakeholders to persuade them to embrace, and contribute to, internal communications strategies
- Some experience on external communications – social media or media relations
Where is the role?
This position can be based in any of our Isio offices located in Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Reading and Manchester.
We operate on a hybrid basis, offering you the opportunity to work both in the office and from home. The expectation would be 2 -3 days per week in the office.
