Administration Team Leader
Role and Responsibilities:
The general duties of the role will include checking and authorising the work of the team in accordance with scheme rules and current industry legislation. You will be responsible for managing the personal development of team members so that they achieve both team targets and actively encourage their learning and development.
The ideal candidate will be already working as a Team Leader/Manager within the Third Party Administration sector and should possess strong leadership and advanced numerical skills. They should be team orientated with excellent interpersonal skills and a logical approach to problem solving, as well as being flexible with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines; effectively prioritising your own workloads and those of others by allocating work within the team.
The majority of Isio's portfolio is made up of Defined Benefit (Final Salary) pension schemes and therefore experience of delivering administration services to these clients is of paramount importance.
- Allocate, oversee and prioritise the allocation of incoming work.
- Manage resources to ensure that scheme event and member event targets are achieved.
- Management and supervision of trainees/administrators.
- Review and check outgoing work to ensure it complies with internal standards, scheme and legislative rules.
- Maintain a culture which reflects Premier’s values, and puts the member at the heart of all activities.
- Ensure delivery of services in accordance with client Service Level Agreements.
- Attendance of Trustee or client meetings.
- Attending internal and external meetings to provide technical support and guidance on related client administration issues.
- Keeping up to date with technical and scheme changes.
- Management of ad hoc administration projects/exercises.
- Identifying and recording non-core fee events.
- Management of administration contacts and client relationships.
- Supporting the Member Services Manager.
- Building technical client knowledge and understanding.
Experience and Competencies Required:
Essential
- A-Level or equivalent.
- Experience of directly managing a team of administrators in a third-party administration environment.
- Several years experience of delivering administration services to Defined Benefit pension schemes.
- Exceptional technical pensions and legislative knowledge and understanding.
- Experience of training and developing others.
- Exceptional MS office skills.
- Experience of presenting administration reports and interacting with clients/trustees.
- APMI, DPA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience of Profund oPen 2.
- Experience of Bizflow.
