Part qualified Pensions Actuary – Assistant Manager within our Operational
Consolidator Team, Enplan
We are seeking to expand the Actuarial team that supports our operational
consolidation platform, Enplan. In particular, we wish to recruit a Pensions Actuarial
Assistant Manager to be based in either our Manchester or Scottish offices.
Enplan is one of the fastest growing areas of our business and one of the fastest
growing consolidation platforms in the market. We are continuously onboarding new
clients and need to grow our team to support this expansion.

The Enplan team provides a great environment for part qualified actuaries to develop
their actuarial and consulting skills, working on a wide range of schemes and projects.
We are constantly innovating, looking at the range of services we can provide to
schemes on the platform and working hand in hand with other Isio teams including the
investment and buy-out specialists.

Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for individuals with excellent pensions consulting skills, strong
technical skills, a commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Provide support in the provision of pensions advice to trustee clients and corporate clients (including accounting disclosures).
- Produce high quality deliverables addressing key client issues.
- Check work produced by junior colleagues, ensuring it is technically excellent.
• Attend client meetings and help deliver advice.
• Take responsibility for and manage small projects.
• Manage your own time and that of reports effectively to consistently meet all
deadlines.
• Regularly monitor all aspects of risk compliance.
• Show awareness of commercial issues and identify potential opportunities for
clients. - Help us continue to innovate, building Enplan’s already strong reputation in the market.
Professional Qualifications
• Studying for the FIA actuarial exams and making good progress.
Experience and Competencies
• Good understanding of the UK pensions landscape and issues facing clients.
• Organised and able prioritise your own tasks and manage small projects and teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a team.
• Consistently able to work at a high level of intensity whilst maintaining a
professional and positive approach.
• Proactive and commercial approach.
• Contributes to the development of others.
• Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
