Our Pensions Administration team is focussed in three offices: Reading, Birmingham and Manchester. This role will be connected to one of these locations with the ability to work flexibly at home and from the office and there are regular social events to bring people together.
Your development is important to us, and you will be encouraged and supported to study for the Certificate in Pensions Calculations. You will have the opportunity to develop customer service, communication, team-working and technical skills.
Responsibilities
As a Pensions Administrator, you will assist in the delivery of administration services to pension scheme members and a number of our pension clients (predominantly with Defined Benefit pension arrangements). You will be part of a team who are committed to providing an excellent service to their members and supporting them through a range of significant life events including Retirement, Transfer and Bereavement.
We will give you the support, learning and development you need to become an expert in:
- Maintaining accurate member records
- Calculating pension benefits (both manually and automated)
- Providing clear information to members
- Paying members the right amount, on time, every time
- Delivering the highest standard of service, successfully guiding members through complicated topics and life events
- Understanding and prioritising work to do the right thing for our members

Qualifications and Skills
- Experience of working in a customer focussed role preferably within financial services.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work independently to manage your workload.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple demands within a busy environment.
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office, Word and Excel applications to a high level.
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to undertake detailed mathematical calculations accurately.
